Come explore Silhouette sheer shades, and fall in love with the energizing look and incredible design options of this popular window covering product. Creative Blinds will help get you started.
The Vanes
Open or Closed? What do you prefer when it comes to Silhouette Shade features? Maybe you keep them open to enjoy the view of your landscape and are fortunate to have indirect light entering during most of the day.

Some clients prefer them closed more often–and that’s ok, too. Privacy is important, or you might need relief from relentless glaring sunlight. For this situation, we recommend one of our newest features called Halo. This setting allows you to adjust the vanes up to channel light into your room, while the vanes appear closed to the outside.
The Silhouette Halo™ Feature
One Shade, Or Two Shades?
As if transforming light from harsh to gentle–and from bright to a comfy glow–isn’t enough, Silhouette Shade features don’t stop there. With the innovation of dual sheer shades, you have an additional layer of light control. Access the room darkening feature by lowering the secondary shade down into place.

Color is Everything
When it comes to window coverings you want them to coordinate with the aesthetic of your home. Our silhouette sheer shades are available in a variety of fabrics, textures and color-ways. The fabric vanes that “float” between layers can be chosen to fit your look. Work with our designers to create the design you want. Everything from neutrals to a large variety of colors are available to choose from.
Neutrals are more commonly chosen, but when you have dark–or even black trim windows–the result is stunning too.

The Sheer Fabrics
The vanes of Silhouettes float between two layers of sheer fabrics. Now, you have the option of choosing the original sheer fabric or ClearView sheer fabric for a more crisp, clear view-through. Many color options are available in both. Compare the difference below.

Many clients prefer the look of traditional sheers. They want that soft, hazy look. It’s really a personal choice, but one more example of how Silhouette Shade features are truly customized to you.

How Do They Function?
Another consideration is the operating system you choose for your window coverings. Do you love the idea of manual operation–from cordless to corded shades, or would you prefer a motorized option? Silhouette Shades are available with a number of operating systems to fit your home and your life.
- Individual Motorization: The SoftTouch Wand
- Motorized Shades: PowerView Automation
- Cordless Shades: Push/Pull Operation with LiteRise
- Retractable Corded Shades: UltraGlide
- Cord Loop: Continuous Cord Rotation
Doors VS Windows
Oftentimes, doors and windows share the same space inside your home. Need help styling? Sheer shades are a great option for covering both, and you can choose to cover both doors and windows with horizontal sheer shades. You can even mix and match their features to improve the function of each window individually. As for doors, don’t sleep on Vertical Luminette Sheers, they blend in seamlessly.

The Choice is Yours
With Silhouette Shade features you can allow window function to lead you in the right direction. We invite you to meet with our designers either in one of our showrooms, or for a FREE in-home consultation to discuss what makes sense for your windows. Let’s get started!
