Classic Roman Shades

LOVE a kitchen roman shade. Almost always, it’s my favorite shade type to frame such an important symbol of home: the kitchen sink

In my opinion, the nicest looking shade countered to an arch is a perfectly measured roman shade

There’s just something about Roman Shades. They’re classic, soft, elevated and versatile in design.  It’s a trend that has been in for a long, long time…which pretty much means it’s a timeless selection. Here are a few of our recent favorites…

Offering a picturesque view, the window behind the kitchen sink deserves classic roman shades. The soft fabric with contemporary banding elevates the space, positioned perfectly to keep the light and glare out of your eyes, while allowing you a view of your landscape.

Perfectly tidy, adding just the right accent to the space, a stationery roman is a great way to style the top of the window. With folded fabrics in place, dimension draws the eye, adding height to the window. In a darker fabric, it balances the soft look of a white shade.

Both artistic and function, classic roman shades can be placed over a simple roller shade with the dual shade intention. The white roller shade stays in place for levels of light control and privacy, while the patterned roman shade looks beautiful in the raised position. Adding soft color to the space, it can be lowered when more light control is necessary.

Possibly our favorite look–fabric roman shades layered with draperies. The classic roman shades are raised and lowered for light control, privacy & energy efficiency, while the draperies add flowing design and accents of color. This is beautiful art at the window.

Nothing says custom more than a patterned fabric shade, created to match the contour of an arched window. The patterned fabric makes a soft statement of design, while coordinating beautifully with the other elements in the room. Customized to fit the arch, it accents the architectural appeal of the window, while ensuring light control, energy savings and privacy.

Are classic roman shades a favorite of yours? We’d love to know!
