For the first year from the installation date, Creative Blinds offers an in-home assurance policy. If your
shade requires service during the first year, you can send a picture of the shade, a description of the issue
(videos are great!), as well as the room location to firstname.lastname@example.org. From there, we will contact you
with any questions, and/or will submit a service request. It typically takes about 14 days to get a service visit
scheduled, depending on volume.
If your shade is outside of the in-home warranty period (1 year), the shade must be removed from the
window and brought into our Repair Center.
Tips for assessing your shades before you call
- Check Batteries: see Creative Blinds #ShadeTherapy section on YouTube for all sorts of information on changing batteries in the shade (AND the remote!), operating your shade, and more.
- As a first step, or if you have programming issues, you may wish to call the Hunter Douglas Powerview hotline, at (844) 797-8439.
- On the Powerview App, under ‘More,’ choose Support, and then, Troubleshooting, for a possible quick fix.
Once Creative Blinds assesses the shade and the status of your Hunter Douglas warranty, it typically takes 4-5 days to complete the repair locally. Some products must be shipped back to Hunter Douglas’s central repair center, in which case it could take 2-3 weeks to get the product back to our warehouse. Creative Blinds also has a Replacement Program, whereby if you decide to purchase a new shade, we offer an additional 20% off our already-discounted pricing. Repairs: Hunter Douglas is happy to service your Hunter Douglas repair and takes great pride in being Houston’s only Authorized Hunter Douglas Service Center.
Replacements: With our replace option, you can also upgrade to a new shade at 20% off on top of our standard discounts (and 15% on the rest of your order).
