In Honor & Memory of Fred Goree
Fred Goree, a renowned Houston Architect, came into our showroom with a vision. This vision included the ‘perfect’ drapery he had seen in a magazine back in the 80’s. He had a single black and white tiny photo of the drapery he had in mind for his forever home he was building with his wife, Jewell.
With Fred’s incredible attention to detail and willingness to share the passion behind the design of his final project, we dove in and presented dozens of fabrics to Fred. He guided us with his passion and patience to land on the perfect fabric. He picked each fabric, methodically and with pride.
Upon completion of his build, we installed draperies and Roman shades throughout Fred and Jewell’s home. These window treatments gave warmth, privacy, security and the nostalgic design they craved. Fred was delighted with the outcome. The selections represent a blend of classic designs, with Ralph Lauren-like Roman Shades, sheer draperies across the entire downstairs and some fun ‘happy’ patterns throughout other spaces.
Sadly, Fred passed away a couple months after moving into his forever home. We are forever touched by this passionate, kind, story-sharing, patient, graceful, and loving man. In memory of Fred Goree, it was an honor to carry out his vision.
